OUR APPROACH

Cookies and analytics

Current analytics and browser storage behaviour, with details of the planned consent choice.

Current preview

Analytics is disabled in the current site configuration. With no analytics ID set, the pages load no analytics script and show no consent banner. Calculator inputs and results remain in the page and are not saved automatically. After calculating, a reader may explicitly request an SVG download or open the browser's print flow; the reader chooses whether to save or print a copy.

If analytics is enabled

The consent code is configured to ask before loading Google Analytics. It offers separate accept and reject choices, and a Cookie settings button lets a reader change that choice. Before analytics loads, the code sets analytics and advertising consent signals to denied. Rejecting analytics prevents it loading and attempts to clear Google Analytics cookies available to the current hostname. Advertising storage remains denied when analytics is accepted.

The choice is stored in this browser’s local storage under polytunnel-analytics-consent, with the value accepted or rejected. It stays there until it is changed through Cookie settings or the browser’s site data is cleared. If storage is blocked, the choice applies only for the current page session.

If analytics is enabled, the operator should confirm the final configuration, any cookies or browser storage used, and the information needed for a complete privacy notice before launch. See Privacy.
